Car Traffic During the Epidemic."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It looks like we're back \u2013 traffic on the roads is back to normal.<br \/>\nHere is a summary of traffic on major national roads between March 1 and May 31 this year. I prepared it based on data from selected automatic measurement stations on routes: A2, A4, S3, S6, S7, S8, and National Road No. 92. Previous analyses are available <a href=\"https:\/\/jetline.pl\/ooh-w-polsce\/wiekszy-ruch-na-drogach-w-polsce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/jetline.pl\/ooh-w-polsce\/korki-wrocily-na-drogi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12901 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/jetline.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/MapaSCPR_2018-06-15-01.jpg\" alt=\"map\" width=\"916\" height=\"842\"><\/p>\n<p>Based on data from selected measurement points, we can determine how traffic intensity has changed between major cities in Poland:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Traffic intensity in the last week of May is 96.2% of the traffic intensity value from the last week before the pandemic (first week of March 2020).<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Traffic intensity on Sunday, May 31, is 99.3% of the traffic intensity value from the Sunday before restrictions were introduced.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Let's compare traffic on major roads in Poland with traffic on all national roads. We will notice that the decreases on major roads were the smallest. (Exception: sections before border crossings).  <\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The largest drop in traffic intensity during the restrictions was 47.6%. <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12918 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/jetline.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/2-1024x355.png\" alt=\"chart\" width=\"1024\" height=\"355\"><\/p>\n<p>The chart above shows changes in weekly traffic from March 2, 2020, to May 31, 2020.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12907 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/jetline.pl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/1-1024x333.png\" alt=\"traffic intensity in selected weeks \" width=\"1024\" height=\"333\"><\/p>\n<p>The chart above shows daily traffic changes in three selected weeks:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>10th week (March 2\u20138) \u2013 the last week before the pandemic.<\/li>\n<li>16th week (Easter Monday, April 13 \u2013 April 19) \u2013 the week with the largest recorded decrease in traffic intensity.<\/li>\n<li>22nd week (May 25\u201331) \u2013 the last measurement week.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Various factors influence changes in traffic intensity, apart from COVID-19 related restrictions.
