The Platinum OBIE Award was given to the #What'sHappening campaign, prepared by Twitter. The campaign stood out with its simple and powerful message. The posters feature images of the most pressing and current social and political topics. The images include a hashtag that, instead of content, precedes the most important element captured in the frame, along with Twitter's characteristic logo.

Seven Gold OBIE Awards were also presented, including to: Sly Fox agency for the creative work for McDonald's Election Day campaign, McCann London for the Ethos Travel campaign, Wieden+Kennedy for the Unlimited Greatness campaign featuring Serena Williams, and the AIDS Healthcare Foundation for the FreeSTDCheck.org campaign.

Among the ten posters honored with Silver OBIE, notable creations were prepared by OOH Outfront, displayed on digital billboards in recognition of athletes who passed away last year - Muhammad Ali and Pat Summitt, as well as for special events such as elections.

26 Bronze OBIE awards were also presented.

Among the finalists were several interesting and unusual creations using 3D elements
or add-ons to advertising boards.
As for new additions - this year, four new categories were introduced to the OBIE Awards program – Copywriting, Digital Design, Illustration, and Photography.
