DOOH Service. Jet Line Digital Media in the Child Alert System

DOOH dla child alert

In 2019, we incorporated Jet Line digital media (MyLED screens and MORE showcases) into the Child Alert police alarm system.

What Does this Mean?

It means that if the Police activate an alert about a missing or abducted child, we will broadcast the police search message on the digital screens managed by Jet Line, and we will continue to broadcast it until the alert is called off.
We hope that there will be no need to activate the Child Alert procedure. Nevertheless, we are prepared for such a situation. Cooperation in this type of program worldwide is based on partnership engagement, awareness of the importance of time, and resources available to the media, including outdoor advertising.

One Missing Child is one Too Many

Outdoor is a mass medium. Outdoor messages appear where we are, in city spaces, along routes between cities... Always in places with the highest concentration of people. It's obvious that the faster and the more people learn about the threat, the greater the chance of finding the child. Jet Line's digital media are not only in Warsaw. They are also located in cities of various sizes across the country. Launching spots on them in an emergency takes only a few minutes.

What is Child Alert?

Child Alert is a police alarm system designed to support police procedures in search operations by informing the maximum number of people about a missing child as quickly as possible. The message prepared by the police is sent to partners: internet portal publishers, press, radio, television, and DOOH media owners.

According to statistics from the National Police Headquarters, there are up to 8,000 cases of missing children and teenagers in Poland annually. Most reported cases end happily, but about 5% of reports remain unsolved. This could mean that as many as 375 children are not found.

Only in Very Exceptional Situations

Child Alert has been operating in Poland since 2013. The police use it in strictly defined cases and absolutely exceptional situations. The reason it is announced extremely rarely is to protect the scale and importance of the event, not to cause indifference through too frequent communications. On the contrary: the aim is to make the effect of its action as good as possible through the uniqueness of the tool's use.

In Europe, 16 countries have a similar program supporting the search for missing children. In each country, it relies on mass media and an immediately activated process of alerting the public.
