Once Again at ISE 2014...
Let's revisit one of the most important industry events that took place in Amsterdam in February this year. Integrated Systems Europe is one of the most anticipated events targeting AV specialists and the broader electronics industry. As for the past 7 years, the trade show was held at the RAI conference and exhibition complex in Amsterdam.
The trade show attracted professionals working at various levels of product development: both manufacturers and distributors, dealers, salespeople, and consultants.
End users from fields such as sports, education, services, teleconferencing, and events were also widely represented.
At ISE, technologies from the following fields were widely presented:
- building automation;
- audio and video conferencing;
- content management and distribution;
- flat screens;
- mounts, equipment, audio furniture;
- home cinema, entertainment;
- interactive displays;
- LED video walls;
- multimedia device control systems;
- security systems;
- streaming;
- projectors and projection screens;

The trade show displayed numerous solutions in the field of multimedia and audiovisual technologies currently available on the market. ISE 2014 occupied 12 halls at Amsterdam RAI, attracting over 51,000 participants from 140 countries, maintaining its reputation as one of the most important events for presenting new technologies to companies, industry, and end users.
Over 1,000 products were presented, accompanied by lectures, presentations, and educational demonstrations. The range of offerings was enormous, starting from industry giants like Samsung, LG, NEC, through teleconferencing specialists, to specialized companies offering complex solutions in the field of Smart Building.
Among the companies whose stands appeared exceptionally impressive were Barco and Samsung, which analyzed market needs before the fair in this way: "During this year's ISE edition, we are presenting our vision for 2014. We anticipate greater integration of AV systems with retail strategies and shopping center analytical systems, aimed at increasing the benefits of using multimedia visual presentation systems in retail. Consumer demand for innovative solutions will drive dynamic growth in this segment in the coming years.
At Samsung Electronics' exhibition at ISE, visitors could see, among other things, a "multivision tower" composed of 54 world-class LFD monitors (UD55D) with an ultra-thin 3.5-millimeter (narrowest on the market) bezel. Life-size images of individual products were displayed on 95-inch LFD monitors (ME95C), and visitors could browse the full range of devices in their virtual catalog.
In a space arranged in the style of hotel interiors, visitors were introduced to Samsung's innovative solutions for hotels, including TV content controlled by hotel guests.
The transportation industry was tempted with ready-made information system solutions featuring flight schedules, weather information, and other real-time updated data. The stand also featured a full range of solutions for the HoReCa industry.
On a 400 m² stand, Panasonic presented, among other things, a new generation of projectors using laser as a light source. Professional devices equipped with 4K technology were also showcased, including large-format 98- and 84-inch professional monitors, as well as a series of 4K projectors designed for large venues:
