Outdoor Advertising for London Police
Outdoor, radio, and internet are involved in the London police advertising campaign. It talks about, among other things... not looking at ads. So how do you attract attention while asking not to be distracted?
Those who don't walk around London with headphones on/in their ears and eyes glued to screens will probably see posters with the ironic slogan "Don't look at this poster. But watch out for thieves" sooner.
But we know it can be different. Sometimes we walk around not only there, immersed in music and staring at smartphones.
Meanwhile, London police have called for greater vigilance, especially in the evening and particularly when residents are moving around the city alone. The agency AMV BBDO prepared a campaign for them, where vigilance is the key message. The action takes place on radio, internet, and outdoor advertising. It's mainly addressed to those who are active in London for various reasons, especially in the Westminster area in the evening - working, partying, sightseeing.
Stephanie Day, head of marketing at MET Police in London, said: "We wanted to create a campaign that wouldn't be limited to classic police narrative. This creative helped us with its seemingly subversive tone. We hope that by drawing attention to everyday behaviors, the campaign will support operational activities and reduce the scale of street theft in the capital."
