This time, the McDonald” s network in Great Britain launched an extraordinary DOOH campaign that forecasted the weather for the upcoming days.

The network famous for its tasty burgers joined forces with MET OFFICE to predict the weather - unpredictable especially perhaps in Great Britain - on giant LED screens across the country.

The campaign used iconographics depicting meals from the restaurant's menu. They resembled weather icons, forecasting changing atmospheric conditions for the upcoming 5 days.

The weather map replaced traditional icons with, among others, a burger resembling the sun or a box of fries announcing upcoming rain. This unconventional form of weather forecasting was based on eight menu items that show all the changes occurring in April weather.

Ben Newman from the creative department of Leo Burnett London commented on the campaign: "Don't trust the meteorologist. In April, McDonald's has you in sight."
