First MotorWAY 12×4 M Billboards with LED Lighting
The Motorway 12×4 m network is expanding in various directions. This year in May, the first photovoltaic panels appeared on one of the structures.
The idea of illuminating advertising structures using electricity obtained from renewable sources is not new. At Jet Line, we continuously monitor available market solutions for advertising illumination.
Before installing the first set of advertising lighting, many technical and other obstacles had to be overcome. A significant challenge was mounting the individual elements of the installation so that they were not visible from the adjacent highway and did not distract from the advertisement, while still having adequate exposure to daylight.
In spring 2016, we decided to install an alternative lighting method on one of our advertising structures. Such a set consists of PV panels, batteries, a charge controller, LED lamps, and a GSM module that allows monitoring of various installation parameters. In the energy sector, the operation of a separate electrical network not connected to others is called off-grid, and this is how our installation works.
The use of PV panels and LED lamps for illuminating advertisements not only makes us independent from electricity suppliers, thus allowing us to build structures in places where access to electricity was problematic. This lighting method also means that we produce electricity ourselves in an environmentally friendly way, which is used to illuminate the advertisements of our clients' brands and companies.
